But this does not mean that interns should not blog!&nbsp; Blogging fosters several important characteristics that make a successful intern, scholar, professional, and person. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Yet, like everything else, there is a wrong way and a right way to intern blogging.&nbsp; Fortunately, I have not had to learn the hard way, but from the &quot;bad&quot; example of others. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>The Do&#39;s and Dont&#39;s of Intern Blogging<\/h3>\n<p><u><b>DONT&#39;s<\/b><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NEVER talk about confidential information from your work<\/li>\n<li>Refrain from office gossip<\/li>\n<li>Keep co-worker names out of the blogging conversation<\/li>\n<li>Be careful about disclosing where you work, your department and\/or who you work with<\/li>\n<li>Have a public disclosure on your blog, something like this: <i>&quot;Please Note: All thoughts and ideas presented in this blog share no connection with my employer&quot;<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><b>DO&#39;s<\/b><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Talk about important lessons you learned:&nbsp; &quot;<a href=\"http:\/\/ebizz.wordpress.com\/2006\/05\/22\/how-to-make-the-best-of-a-business-trip\/\" target=\"_blank\">How To Make the Best Out of a Business Trip<\/a>&quot;<\/li>\n<li>Network with other people in the blogosphere<\/li>\n<li>Use your blog to express your interests and critically analyze what is going on<\/li>\n<li>Seek others like you to use as a resource: &quot;<a href=\"http:\/\/ebizz.wordpress.com\/2006\/05\/30\/reaching-outinterns-new-hires-wanted\/\" target=\"_blank\">Reaching Out New Interns Wanted<\/a>&quot;<\/li>\n<li>Recap your internship with important lessons you learned and others can use:&nbsp;
